Welcome

Here at Positive Training for Canines we offer small training classes so that we can give individual attention to our clients. We train at Colden Common Community Centre, Winchester on Monday evenings from 6.45pm, Tuesday evenings from 7.45pm and Thursday mornings from 9.45am. We offer 6 week courses with the chance to learn the basics progressing to advanced level.

All our training is carried out in a non-competitive atmosphere where we make sure the dogs are comfortable with what we are providing them through the use of kind, fair and effective training methods.

We provide lots of advice during our classes but encourage owners to talk to us if they are experiencing problems with their dogs. We carry out home visits so we can get to know the dogs better and gain better understanding of the customer if they need the support.

Trophy Pet Foods also attend our classes so that nutritional advice is offered. Additionally they can microchip your dog for £15

Puppy classes are designed for puppies aged between 10 and 24 weeks once they have received their 2nd vaccinations. Puppy Classes are run on Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings.

Puppies over 24 weeks and older dogs are welcome to join our training classes on Monday evening and Thursday morning.

In addition to our classes we also offer regular loose lead sessions designed for puppies, where they can practice walking with the natural distractions of the outside world.

For the older dogs we hold social walks where we pair you up with a dog that is suitable to your own. The dogs then learn to walk together. This is a great opportunity to come across real life situations and work the dogs through it. We can have up to four dogs walking together but this will be dependant on your dogs coping levels.

The loose lead and social walks are open to everyone who has attended our classes or a one to one session with us so that we know your dog.

If you would like more information about our classes or would like to book your place please contact us via email or telephone.
